Flamenco Project Collection donated to the Ayuntamiento de Morón de la Frontera

In January, 2013, the 4-year association with the Fundación Cajasol ended after 10 exhibitions and the publication of a 200-page catalog, and the Collection -- less 15 works that were gifted to Cajasol's art collection as part of the original agreement -- was successfully transfered to care and ownership of the government of Morón and its cultural branch, the Fundación Fernando Villalón. The Ayuntamiento plans to display a rotating selection of work from the Collection in the newly renovated space of the Convento Santa Clara in the heart of town. Arranging for the loan of the work to other pueblos for exhibition is also on their agenda. This was a non-exclusive agreement, so that future exhibitions outside of Spain could be made available on request. It is very fitting that this body of work -- 61 photographs, 2 films and audio recordings -- should find a permanent home in the pueblo that was at the heart of our early experience of la vida flamenca in Andalusia.
